Beate Kuska's riding career began during early childhood in the 'Black Forest' region of Southern Germany. By the time Beate reached 16 years of age, she was successfully competing in Junior Jumper classes and 'M' Dressage (3rd level).

Beate's early success and passionate love of horses prompted an apprenticeship with German Riding Master, Karl Diel, whose mentor Otto Loerke was one of Germany's foremost masters of his time, responsible for tutoring such world renown riders as Herbert Rehbein, Christoph Van Daehne, Hermann Ducek, Gunnar Oustergaard and Hans Mueller, the latter who is currently the head trainer of Warendorf, Germany's prestigious riding and training center.

During Beate's 6 year tenure under the tutelage of Karl Diel, she was entrusted to train young horses to Grand Prix level and received her 'Bereiter', Germany's government riding and training license.

In 1986 Beate immigrated to America to start a position training and riding dressage and jumping horses. Her skill set, experience and keen eye brought many horses along to Grand Prix level. She competed in FEI Dressage and Grand Prix Jumping, placing her on a select list of few accomplished riders who compete successfully in both Dressage and Show Jumping. Beate's successes are many, her career highlighted by 'Just for MEE'. Beate's partnership with this horse placed her on the world ranking list, jumping successfully in World Cup qualifiers. Her success in the Grand Prix's continued when she partnered with the legionary stallion, 'Luciano', winning over $200,000, most memorably winning the $77,000 Grand Prix at Gulf
